Solar for Public Buildings

Municipalities, schools and administrations have large, often unused roof areas. We put photovoltaics on them — on request entirely without investment or operating effort for you: you lease us the roof, we plan, build and operate.

Photovoltaics for the public sector

Almost any municipal building with sufficient roof area is suitable. Typical objects in our projects:

  • Sports and multi-purpose halls
  • Administrative buildings and town halls
  • Municipal works and depots
  • Fire and rescue stations
  • Wastewater plants and utility buildings

Two routes

Two routes for your municipality

No investment

Lease your roof

You provide us with your roof area and we take care of everything else. For the public sector this is the lean route: no budget funds, no construction risk, no operating effort.

  • No investment, no loan, no default risk
  • Predictable lease income over the entire term
  • We plan, build, operate and maintain the plant
  • You simply lease your roof area instead of procuring a plant

Ownership

Have it built turnkey

If your municipality wants to own the plant and use the electricity directly, we plan and build turnkey (EPC) and hand over the finished plant.

  • Your own plant, your own electricity, full control
  • Planning, installation, grid connection and commissioning from a single source
  • On request with operation and maintenance

FAQ

Photovoltaics for public buildings — FAQ

Which public buildings are suitable?

In principle any building with a sufficiently load-bearing roof — from schools and sports halls to municipal depots. Whether a roof is suitable is clarified in advance in a review.

Does the municipality have to invest?

Not with the leasing model. You provide the roof area; we take on the investment and operation. You receive a predictable lease income.

Does this go through a public tender?

Our standard route with the public sector is roof leasing. Here you lease your roof area instead of procuring a plant — the simpler route for many bodies. We coordinate the appropriate framework together with you.

Can we also own the plant ourselves?

Yes. If you want to become the owner, we build the plant turnkey (EPC) and hand it over finished — with operation on request.

How long does a lease run?

Such contracts are long-term, matching the service life of the plant. We define the specific term and conditions together with you.
