EEG tariff table
German feed-in tariff: current EEG rates and every period since 2022
Every EEG feed-in tariff rate for solar PV in Germany since 30 July 2022: for surplus and full feed-in, by size class and commissioning period. We calculate the rates from the law and check them against the figures of the Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency).
Current rate
Commissioning 1 Aug 2026 to 31 Dec 2026
- Surplus, up to 10 kWp
- 7.70ct/kWh
- Full feed-in, up to 10 kWp
- 12.22ct/kWh

How to read it
How to read the table: your rate depends on the commissioning date
The row: commissioning date
Find the row whose period contains the day your system was commissioned. You keep this rate for the whole term.
The column: system size
Above 10 kWp, each size class counts with its share (§ 23c EEG 2023). Example for 1 Aug 2026 to 31 Dec 2026: 15 kWp with surplus feed-in gives 10/15 × 7.70 + 5/15 × 6.66 = 7.35 ct/kWh.
Surplus or full feed-in
With surplus feed-in you use part of the power yourself and feed in the rest. With full feed-in all power goes to the grid, and the rate is higher.
Fixed rate or applicable value
Up to 100 kWp you get the fixed rate. It is 0.4 ct/kWh below the applicable value (§ 53 EEG 2023). Above 100 kWp the applicable value is the basis of the market premium.
Rooftop PV up to 100 kWp
Fixed feed-in tariff for rooftop PV: currently 7.70 ct/kWh up to 10 kWp
All fixed rates for systems on buildings and noise barriers up to 100 kWp. The newest period is at the top; the row marked green applies to systems commissioned today.

The rates are based on the EEG 2023. According to the Bundesnetzagentur it applies to systems commissioned by 31 Dec 2026. For systems from 1 Jan 2027, the Bundestag is debating a successor rule. Once it applies, we will add it to the table.
Direct marketing
Applicable values up to 1,000 kWp: the basis of the market premium
Above 100 kWp there is no fixed rate. A direct marketer sells your power on the exchange. If the monthly market value of solar power is below the applicable value, the grid operator pays the difference as a market premium (§ 20 EEG 2023). Systems up to 100 kWp can choose this route too.

Degression
Rates fall by 1 percent every six months
This is set by § 49 EEG 2023: on 1 February and 1 August, the values for newly commissioned systems fall by 1 percent. If you commission before a cut-off date, you keep the higher rate for the whole term.
Since 30 July 2022, the fixed surplus rate up to 10 kWp has fallen from 8.20 to 7.70 ct/kWh.
Next cut-off date: 1 January 2027. According to the Bundesnetzagentur, the EEG 2023 then ends for new systems.

FAQ
German feed-in tariff: answers to the most common questions
How high is the German feed-in tariff currently?
For rooftop PV commissioned from 1 Aug 2026 to 31 Dec 2026, the fixed surplus feed-in rate is 7.70 ct/kWh up to 10 kWp, 6.66 ct/kWh from 10 to 40 kWp and 5.44 ct/kWh from 40 to 100 kWp. For full feed-in it is 12.22 ct/kWh up to 10 kWp and 10.24 ct/kWh from 10 to 100 kWp.
Which row of the table applies to my system?
The row whose period contains your commissioning date. Above 10 kWp, each size class counts with its share (§ 23c EEG 2023): for 15 kWp, 10 kWp get the rate up to 10 kWp and 5 kWp get the rate from 10 to 40 kWp.
Why is my rate not in the table?
The table starts on 30 July 2022. From that day the base values apply from which all current rates are derived. If your system was commissioned earlier, other rates applied that fell every month. The Bundesnetzagentur lists them in its archive.
Does the rate apply for 20 years?
Yes. The rate on the commissioning date applies for 20 years and is extended to 31 December of the twentieth year (§ 25 EEG 2023). For systems from 25 February 2025 the term can be longer: periods with negative power prices, which are not paid, are added at the end (§ 51a EEG 2023).
What is the difference between the fixed rate and the applicable value?
The fixed rate is 0.4 ct/kWh below the applicable value (§ 53 EEG 2023). Systems up to 100 kWp that leave their power to the grid operator receive it. Above 100 kWp a direct marketer sells the power, and the applicable value is the basis of the market premium.
Is there any payment during negative power prices?
For systems commissioned since 25 February 2025, the applicable value falls to zero when the exchange price is negative (§ 51 EEG 2023). For systems under 100 kW this only applies after the end of the year in which a smart meter is installed. The unpaid periods are added to the end of the support term by a fixed formula (§ 51a EEG 2023).
What do I need to do for full feed-in?
You feed in all power of a calendar year and notify the grid operator in text form: in the first year before commissioning, then each year before 1 December for the following year (§ 48 (2a) EEG 2023). In return, the higher rate from the full feed-in column applies.
What applies to systems from 1 January 2027?
The rates in this table are based on the EEG 2023. The Bundesnetzagentur applies it to systems commissioned by 31 December 2026. The Bundestag is debating a successor rule (as of 15 Oct 2026: printed paper 21/7867). Once it applies, we will add it to the table.
